For the past several days, Mazurland "author" Ben has been spending a buttload of his time in the comments section of my post on the Shinola, pounding his lame-ass theory (which I cannot assent to) about humor and punchlines in commercials. Ben is filled with ambitious ideas that he likes to pursue to their (to him) logical ends. (Anything to get away from actually writing for either of his two blogs.) He's really shot the moon with his latest theory. My contention is that he doesn't know his ass from his elbow (nudge, nudge) in that regard, but Ben keeps on digging the hole deeper. Since Ben seems to want to rewrite the commercial in question, I have a perfect place for him to go to audition people for the part: Assbook. Actually, it's more than one place, as there are several globally available "assbook" groups on Facebook. An Italian one, a Scandinavian one, a South American one, even a Palistinian one (which, as you might have guessed, has precious little ass, but actually seems to be a secret portal into a variety of Global Left-wing Facebook sites). The most active Assbook may be the Canadian one. Interestingly, I didn't see one from Down Under. Take your pick, Ben. And if you go with the Scandinavian one, let me sit in on the auditions.
Perusing some of the assbook members, I found several who I want as friends.
