Awaiting A Tara-Lanche
Mazurland has been a little remiss in noting that today is Blog Day. The day was "created with the belief that bloggers should have one day dedicated to
getting to know other bloggers from other countries and areas of
interest. On that day Bloggers will recommend other blogs to their blog
visitors." Its logo is a play on the Euro-version of the day's date translated into l33t: "3108" kinda sorta looks like "Blog". To participate, we're supposed to recommend 5 new blogs to get our readers bopping around the blogosphere. Tara Murray is a running buddy and a co-blogger on my other blog, The Runaround. (One.) Tara is a librarian at Penn State and has her own blog, the DIY Librarian. ("Librarianship for the People") (Two.) DIY Librarian is not just limited to library topics, and makes for a fun peek into the minds of librarians. (I get that every day, since I married one.) Today, Tara tagged Mazurland as one of her five. Thanks, Tara! Tara has told me to expect librarians. We're bracing for the Tara-lanche.
Now to complete our duty. Since Tara bent the rules, so will we. The blogs I'm tagging are not "new" blogs, but blogs I'd like to feature because they're part of the Mazurland Co-Prosperity Sphere. Ben is a frequent commenter at Mazurland. He intermittently posts at a fine blog of his own. He's been on a posting frenzy lately. Time for you to catch up. (Three.) I've been flogging Tom's blog quite a bit lately. Very personal. Very eclectic. And now with video. (Four.) Hank's color commentary really livens things up at Mazurland. He's also a frequent contributor at the political blog Free New York. (Five.) And, finally, Boris has been visiting us a bit more frequently. He has a very nice blog that talks about design, photography, culture, and a lot more, from the vantage point of the Netherlands. He's gotten back to blogging regularly. Check him out. (Six. There. A bonus.)

Boris is a Mac fanatic, so technically he should be #1.
Tom, whether he know it or not, is a Mac person too.

Thanks guys really kind of you, especially because I know you are really frank people.
Why do I come back on your blog is your dialectic approach, you are self critical and analytic.
Often I see things from completely different standpoint but choosing to read blog from someone who beats the same drum as I do would not be answer, indeed your blog is much better option than it keeps brain cells active.
From the other hand there is lot what we have in common, ethical topics, topics of faith gratitude and respect and thats encouraging to know there are more people like this in this world.

Honored to even be mentioned.
I'm just here because Marty and Chris envlived ME in high school. Another couple of "Whack a doos" from our school that have made it big out there.
Not that being a veteran of Riverside makes you colorful, but at 10 years trekking around the planet from Norway to Zaire, Okinawa to Subic Bay, Puerto Rico
the Middle East. And you end up with a few memorable experiences.
Amazing what happens to people.
I'm by no means wealthy, my wife and I make a comfortable living, but I schlep auto parts for a living and work in my hobby (old car restoration) every day--Don't think I could be any happier.
Bob Kreppel (a whack-a-doo in HS), now a VP with National Fuel Gas--I think his father in law is CEO--that helps.
Joe Navarro (yet another Whack-a-doo) is CFO of Unliland Development, the largest building maintenance and site developer in WNY.
Bill Lobozetta drove a Bus for Metro Transit for many years, now he's a mid level supervisor for drivers. But he's still got all his hair, which is more than I can say for a LOT of the guys we went to school with. And Matt Hellerer and Dave Cummings teach at SJCI, except for college, they've never left since 71--
eeech!

Ooh, blog-pimping! I'm honored! Now where are the hordes of traffic coming my way?
I'd "pay it forward", as it were, but I really don't read a lot of "small" blogs (not that there's anything "small" about the content!) other than this one, mostly due to limited time. I clearly need more readers so I can read their blogs and pimp them as well...
