She's beautiful, intelligent, charming and Conservative. How does Condi Rice do it?
Apparently by following a rigorous exercise routine:
"Rice said exercises not only makes her feel better physically, but mentally.
'I feel better when I exercise. I think I think better when I exercise,' Rice said. 'When I get up at 4:30 I'm like anybody. I don't want to face the day. I think, 'Oh, I have to do this, I have to do that.' And after 40 to 45 minutes of exercising, I'm ready to go. So for me, it's not just physical, but mental, as well.'"
Four-thirty in the morning?! At that hour, I'm still in bed dreaming of Condi.... as a choice for VP in '08, that is. This kind of publicity is great, and not just for promoting the benefits of exercise. I mean if Rice ever does land up on the Republican ticket, how in the world could Hillary ever counter these images? I shudder to think.
Here's the full story with some added video.
I like Condi as much as the next guy but you might want to be careful throwing out words like "beautiful" there pallie.

That's a nicely posed picture of Condi. She dresses up well. I think she looks more "impressive" than "beatiful". I'm not on the "Draft Condi" bandwagon for '08. Most successful candidates in the last several decades have had actual elected executive experience, i.e. they were governors (think Carter, Reagan, Clinton, Bush II), or occasionally Veep (Bush I). Even non-governors have generally been elected to something prior to the Presidency. In this century, I think only Taft, Hoover, and Eisenhower were not elected to office prior to the Presidency. Condi has always been a good public servant, but most of her service has been in the realm of national security and foreign policy. No one knows what kind of general executive she'd make. She might make a good Veep, but that would mean she'd be considered next in line for a future election cycle.

Okay, okay. Maybe not "beautiful". Certainly not ravishing, like Laura Bush.
Anyway, she's "attractive" as a woman and a VP candidate.

"Condi has always been a good public servant, but most of her service has been in the realm of national security and foreign policy"
I'd say that makes her ideal for the # 1 slot. I was unhappy with the equivocation comming out of Foggy Bottom WRT the Danish Cartoon Kerfluffle, but I don't know if that originated with her or Bush.
I think "regal" is the adjective I would use to describe her.

Maybe in an ideal world, say of the libertarian variety, national security and foreign policy experience would be all she'd need. Well, not exactly. She'd need to know more about economics than Bush or any Democrat to pass muster in libertarian land. However, to survive the electoral process in this imperfect world, she needs to know a lot more about it than she currently does. Let her get tempered by a campaign or two.
