Morning Funnies

AlitoleahyEven political junkies find judicial confirmation hearings boring. Most of us who have bothered to tune in a little know that Alito, a slam dunk in any case, is acquitting himself well and that the Democrats on the Judicial Committee are tying themselves in knots trying to find a chink in his armor. It's all very amusing, to some of us, but how to communicate that amusement to the vast majority who don't care? A good place to start is the funnies. Sean Gleeson has been putting together a daily summary of the Alito hearings in captioned foto-funnies. You can see the Intro , along with Day 1 and Day 2, at his blog, part of the Gleeson Bloglomerate. Day 3 will be out later today.

Update 1: Day 3 comics are up now. I think Gleeson has gotten into the cough syrup. Hysterical!

Update 2:  Day 4 comics. What can I say. Gleeson has been having way too much fun. Classic!

You know, when these hearings were delayed until January it was felt to be a victory for the Dems. I'm not so sure.
The later they're held, the more likely it'll be that voters this Fall will remember just how obnoxious and mean-spirited the Dems are.

What'll be really interesting is if Bush gets another nominee in his last 2 1/2 yrs with a possible smaller GOP Senate majority. Wanna see some rabid libs?

Panel 4 of the "Day 1" strip took me a few viewings to notice the joke, but DANG is it funny.

The remarks by ass-wipe Senators like Kennedy, Biden, Feinstein and NY's own Schumer have nothing to do with Alito, or how he might make a ruling. It has to do with a 5-4 court becoming a 6-3 court. What will Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg, Souter and Stevens do now?? Thomas, Scalia,Roberts,Alito,Breyer,Kennedy can stop what's been going on on the court for too long now. Reverse the trend. Get the elected representatives of the people to make the laws, instead of the judiciary legislating from the bench.
What's a Liberal to do??

As the big bull said to the little bull--answering the question "why don't we run down there and fuck one of those cows?"

WHY DON'T WE WALK DOWN THERE AND FUCK 'EM ALL!!!
