Idiotarian of the Year
Mazurland would like to see if we can contribute nominees to the LGF Annual Robert Fisk Award for Idiotarian of the Year (Fiskie for short). Current nominees are:
- Cindy Sheehan
- Harry Reid
- Mary Mapes
- George Clooney
- Sean Penn
- Howard Dean
- Ward Churchill
- Dan Rather
- Chris Matthews
- Nancy Pelosi
- Noam Chomsky
- Kofi Annan
- Ramsey Clark
- Dick Durbin
- Hugo Chavez
- New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin
- Rep. Jack Murtha
- George Galloway
- Maurice Hinchey
- Kanye West
- Cynthia McKinney
This is an impressive list of idiots. Is there a dark horse that someone in Mazurland can identify that the rest of the blogosphere has failed to recognize? Unless we come up with a doozy, Sheehan has this one in the bag.

The absence of Hillary from the list should scare people.
I know Michelle Malkin would nominate the NY Times if that was allowed.

Pretty good list.
Hillary should be on it, as well as Schumer, the tag team letting business and population leave NY. Unfulfilled Promises.

Ah yes. How could I have missed Clinton and Schumer. I still can't get over the fact that Chris actually approached Schumer with his daughter in hand to shake his hand about a year ago. Luckily little Anna's immune system was functioning that day. I guess I should have intervened as a concerned uncle, but it was like watching a car wreck. After it was over, my head filled with all of the "coulda, woulda, shouldas". Again, luckily there doesn't seem to have been any developmental problems caused by this encounter. Next time I'm jumping in.

At the time, my feelings of being star-struck overwhelmed my political opinions. What can I say, I'm impressed with celebrity. I still cherish the autograph I got from WKBW's Commander Tom.

My state is represented well by Murtha. I might add Arlen Specter. Those outside of Pennsylvania would have a hard time knowing about our Governer Ed Rendell, but he's on my list. In terms of international figures, this year's Nobel Prize laureate in Literature, Harold Pinter, also richly deserves to be nominated for this list.

Marty - Pinter is an excellent sugggestion, especially if you do as I plan to and pick idiotarians for different categories.

Jim, I'm sure you could add quite a few actors in the recent election snafu in the state of Washington. I've also added to my own list Pat Robertson, Kos, and one of your favorites, MoDo (Maureen Dowd).
