New Amendment Found in Bill of Rights

San Francisco, CA [2005-10-05] - Constitutional scholar and San Francisco mayor, Gavin Newsom, has discovered that there was an 11th amendment in the original Bill of Rights. The text of the amendment has faded so much over time that it is nearly invisible. After a closer look, experts have made out the faded text to be:

"Congress shall provide Wi-Fi access to all citizens within ten years of the invention of Wi-Fi. Congress shall make no laws to prohibit access to Wi-Fi"

Mayor Newsom discovered this after reading some of Thomas Jefferson's personal correspondences with John Adams. In one letter, Jefferson wrote, "I don't know what a Wi-Fi is, but it's coming and everybody should have it. I'm glad you prodded me to add it to the Bill of Rights, John."

Congress will hold a debate later this week to decide whether all the amendments after the 10th should be renumbered or whether this amendment should be amendment 10a.

That seems like it should've been higher on his priority list than gay marriage. I mean, WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM?!? Forget Wi-Fi being a luxury, we need it NOW.

I may have missed this in the article, but what is the point of doing this?

The timing couldn't be better. San Francisco is also holding a referendum about banning firearms in the City next month.
How ironic. Why not just re-write the Constitution:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of Christianity or Judaism, or prohibiting the free exercise of any other religion; or abridging the freedom of liberal speech (as defined by our Mayor), or of the mainstream media; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble naked to espouse such sanctioned causes, and to petition Haliburton for a redress of grievances."

Sorry, that was me commenting. I'm using Sasha's laptop.
Jamie and I are visiting her in Baltimore. She's got some big Shoe Carnival promotion going on, and we're here for emotional support.

Well it's a good thing people in Baltimore have already secured the right to Wi-Fi!

Did they find the map on the back and leads to the long lost Beowulf cluster that plays host to the world's online porn stash?
